Positioning
Positioning & Audience
A control layer for people already using multiple AI systems.
The audience
Developers, makers, analysts, and power users who run ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and local models across browser tabs, terminals, and mobile apps, each with its own session, permissions, and quota.
The problem
Four axes of fragmentation at once: provider/model, client/runtime, account/quota, execution/tooling. The result is 4-6 disconnected systems per person.
The AIObox difference (planned, not built yet)
None of the items below exist in AIObox today. They are the product's stated direction, not a delivered feature.
- One app, zero CLI setup: install and connect providers without touching a terminal.
- Multi-account quota pooling: use capacity you already pay for across every account.
- Built-in chat UI: AIObox is a place to work, not only a bridge to someone else's window.
- One-click MCP + instructions: configure connectors and shared rules per account.
- Rule ecosystem sync: generalizes AkiDevRule, an existing open-source shared rule corpus, so conventions propagate across every managed provider automatically.
Known risk
The domain aiobox.app collides with aibox.ai. Brand is not legally clear; trademark research is tracked separately.
