A Mac or a Windows PC
A Mac with Apple Silicon or Intel, or a Windows PC (x64). There is no Linux version yet.
Chrome, Edge or Brave
Signed in to the AI accounts you want to bring in, or start with an empty profile and sign in inside AIObox.
English (US) on each provider
Macros find buttons by their English labels, so the browser and each provider's interface should be in English (US).
Optional companions
Node.js and AkiMCP, running with a public address (AIObox can start it), for Connect AkiMCP; cloudflared and a Cloudflare account for Tunnels. The Start page shows what AIObox finds and installs what is missing through Homebrew on a Mac or winget on Windows.
How do I install it?
- 01
On a Mac
Open the .dmg and drag AIObox to Applications. The beta is not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS blocks the first open: open System Settings › Privacy & Security, click Open Anyway, then open AIObox again.
- 02
On Windows
Run the setup.exe. It installs for your user only, with no admin rights. If SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher, click More info, then Run anyway.
- 03
Updates
Download the new version here and install it the same way. Your profiles and settings stay.
What do I do in the first five minutes?
- 01
Add an account
Import a Chrome, Edge or Brave profile you are already signed in to, or start an empty one. If a tool is missing, AIObox opens on Start first and shows how to install it.
- 02
Click a provider
Each cell on the Dashboard opens that provider in that profile's own window.
- 03
Watch the usage fill in
After the first check the cell shows its bars, then AIObox refreshes them every 5 minutes.
Where does AIObox keep my data?
Everything stays on your computer: profile copies in ~/.aki/cdp/profiles, and in ~/.aki/aiobox the usage readings, settings, your prompts and macros (on Windows, ~ is your user folder). Settings › Reset › Factory reset clears settings and your own files but never touches browser profiles or their sign-ins.

v0.10.0 · Start AkiMCP from AIObox, hands-free handoff when quota runs out, Muse
- Start and stop AkiMCP with one button on the AkiMCP page, with no terminal. AIObox shows whether it is stopped, starting, running or running outside AIObox, shows its log when it fails, opens its panel in a window, and stops it when AIObox quits.
- A chat whose account runs out of usage, or whose answers get cut off, hands its work to another account by itself. The new chat gets the old chat's handoff letter or its last 10 messages, and the handoff shows on both windows with Stop, Retry and Close.
- Keep a profile out of handoffs with one checkbox on its page, and let your AI rest an account or a workspace for some hours: its windows move to another account at once.
- Muse and Claude windows can be read and messaged by your AI. Muse also shows its account and usage.
- Your AI reads any tab of a profile by its handle, not only the pages of an AI provider.
- The AIO Loop button keeps a chat going on its own, and a chat that needs you says so in the Inbox.
- Release notes inside the app: the Start page lists every version, with the one you run marked.
- Macros show their report in the AIOBox Panel: a wide area with rows and buttons, which your AI can press too.
- Notion: the panel says whether AkiMCP is ready in the workspace of this tab, with the one thing to do next. A new macro, Model policy, lists each workspace's allowed AI models and its AkiMCP state.
- For AI agents: one request opens a window, opens a link in your browser, closes a window even when it hangs, or moves a Notion window to another workspace. A refused request says why.
- A new official prompt on the Prompts page, Before asking the user: it tells an AI to settle a question itself before it asks you.
- Start page: a One profile, one email note, always shown.
- Signing a profile in from your browser is one Sync dialog that names the browser and shows both sides.
- Connect AkiMCP for Notion works with Notion's new Connections screen, offers Make ready, All workspaces and Sign in on screen, has a Stop button, and ends on Skip all approvals.
- Messages sent close together into one window arrive as one message, and a message the provider refuses is sent again for about 30 minutes.
- The AkiMCP page has one status card, and the chip in the title bar follows whether AkiMCP runs.
- The mini panel holds only what you use most, and the panel and the windows AIObox places stay on screen.
- Start, First steps now also covers the guide for AI agents, Prompts, Tunnels, session restore and migration. Provider settings show the options of each macro and which one is the default.
- Notifications come from AIObox itself and any window may send one. The Inbox setting is gone.
- Messages into one window no longer pile up refused, and a message Notion refused no longer reads as delivered.
- Handoff: one handoff per window, a new window that is not ready says so, a new tab that drifts to another workspace is moved back, and a handoff no longer waits for the chat to be idle.
- A window just opened can be read and messaged at once, and a new window whose panel did not appear gets it.
- Connect AkiMCP for Claude, ChatGPT and Grok no longer starts again after it ended, and ends at once on a signed-out profile.
- Notion macros stop on a profile with more than one Notion account signed in, and AI overage shows a workspace you do not own as workspace owner only.
- A window stopped by its usage limit can be closed. A profile clone that fails its check leaves no copy behind. The AkiMCP version no longer shows a log line.
- Under-the-hood improvements for stability, no visible change for users.
