Tunnels
Cloudflare tunnels
Create and route tunnels without the terminal.
What do I need?
cloudflared installed and signed in, so a zone certificate exists in ~/.cloudflared. The Start page shows whether AIObox found it and installs it through Homebrew or winget if not.
What can I do on the Tunnels page?
- See your tunnels for each zone you are signed in to.
- Create a tunnel, or delete one after typing its name to confirm.
- Route a hostname to a tunnel. An existing DNS record is replaced only if you click a second time to confirm.
- Open the Cloudflare dashboard or the zone's DNS records in one click.
How does this help AkiMCP?
Connect AkiMCP needs AkiMCP to have a public address, so its /mcp endpoint is reachable from Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Notion. A Cloudflare tunnel is one way: create and route it here, then save it in AkiMCP's control panel. Tailscale Funnel and PUBLIC_ORIGIN work too; Connect AkiMCP uses whichever address the running AkiMCP serves.
