Macros
Running macros
One click jobs per provider, including Connect AkiMCP.
What is a macro?
A macro is a short job AIObox runs for you inside a provider's window, in the profile you choose. It clicks the same buttons you would, so keep the provider in English (US).
Which macros come with AIObox?
- Claude: Connect AkiMCP and Widen.
- ChatGPT and Grok: Connect AkiMCP and Widen.
- Notion: Connect AkiMCP (options API, reconnect and page), AI overage, workspace info, Join workspaces, which joins every workspace whose invite link you paste, and Widen.
Can I write my own macros?
Yes, for any provider, custom ones included: write one in the provider's Settings, or drop a .js file (up to 256 KB) on its Macros section. A macro of yours with the same name as an official one is used instead, and Reset brings the official one back.
What does Connect AkiMCP do?
It makes sure the account has exactly one connector named AkiMCP pointing at the AkiMCP server on this computer. Connectors named AkiMCP that point elsewhere are removed; connectors with other names are never touched. The last computer to connect wins.
It needs AkiMCP (@akinet/akimcp) running on your computer with a public address: a Cloudflare tunnel, Tailscale Funnel or PUBLIC_ORIGIN. Start it with the Start button on the AkiMCP page, or run it yourself. The Ready to connect card on the AkiMCP page says what is still missing. The result is recorded on the account's profile page.
Can I see what a macro did?
Yes. The outcome of Connect AkiMCP is recorded per account on that profile's page, and the AkiMCP page lists recent runs. In the panel, the info button at the start of each macro row says what it does, and a macro with several ways to run shows a select beside it.
